About us

Bold City Emergency Medicine Ultrasound is the unofficial site for the University of Florida-Jacksonville Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Division and our Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography Fellowship.

Our mission is to educate our medical students, residents and fellows to incorporate point-of-care ultrasound into everyday emergency medicine practice to improve patient care.

Inception

Our program began in 2008 with a sole ultrasound faculty member and two old machines. It has since grown to include four ultrasound faculty, 13 ultrasound machines between 2 sites, full integration with the EMR and the hospital-wide EMT ultrasound IV access program.

Accreditation

Our Program is accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians Clinical Ultrasound Accreditation Program and the Advanced Ultrasound Fellowship is accedited by the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council

Awards

Our Program has won CUAP Management Awards for Excellence and our faculty have won both local and national teaching awards, including the ACEP National Faculty Teaching Award
